IP Address Addition

How to Add an IP Address

To allow access of Cloud VM's from your on-premises devices, you must acquire an IP address by following the steps below:

Select the IP Address tab and then click on Add IP Address.

Select Zone and click on Next.
Review the summary of the plan and click on Submit.
You will receive a confirmation email after an IP has been acquired.
Once the IP address has been added, you can perform various functions.

NOTE: When you acquire an IP Address, at first it will be “unassigned”, therefore, you will have to enable port forwarding as to allow traffic through that network. Or you could enable Static NAT directly after an IP has been acquired. You can also add Port Forwarding Rules on a Source NAT IP.

How to Enable Port Forwarding on the Acquired IP:

To enable port forwarding, click on Port Forwarding option on acquired IP and provide the following details:

Assign the public & private port range for the ports which can publicly & privately access the rapid machine.
Provide the Protocol, Network and the Instance name respectively.
Click on Add and the job will be queued.

NOTE: You can also delete the Port Forwarding rules from the table.

How to Enable Static NAT on the Acquired IP:

Search the IP addresses and scroll on options at the right side.
Click on the Static NAT function against the required IP.
Provide the Network and the Instance name respectively.
Click on Add and Static NAT will be enabled successfully.

NOTE: Static NAT can be disabled in a similar fashion. All firewall rules however will be removed upon disabling.
